Business of the Year Award (1-49 Employees) Application

2018 Business Awards
About the Business Awards:
The Business Awards, part of the Jackson Chamber’s Annual Celebration, are designed to promote and celebrate excellence in the business community. Awards will be given in the following categories:
Emerging Business of the Year
- 1 Award
Health and Wellness Award
- 1 Award
Non-Profit of the Year
- 1 Award
Industry of the Year
- 1 Award
Business of the Year Award 1-49 Employees
– 1 Award
Business of the Year Award 50+ Employees
– 1 Award
Companies will be judged on performance in four categories:
History/Growth - 30%
Customer Service Excellence - 30%
Community Involvement - 30%
Essay Question - 10%
Applications are judged by an out of town panel of judges,
by employees of the Jackson Chamber. All winners will be announced at the Annual Celebration on March 14, 2019.
All information submitted will be kept confidential.
• All applicants must be a member of the Jackson Chamber.
• This application is for the Business of the Year Award (1-49 Employees) category. The Business of the Year Award (50+ Employees), Emerging Business of the Year Award, Health and Wellness Award, Industry of the Year Award, and Non-Profit of the Year Award are separate.
• You may only apply for 1 award category per year.
• Winners may not reapply for the same award for 5 years.
• All applications must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2019. No extensions will be granted.
Business of the Year Award (1-49 Employees):
The winner of this award must have been in business for 5 or more years and have fewer than 49 employees by December 31, 2018. Business must be a member of the Jackson Chamber.
Has your business been in operation 5 or more years by December 31, 2018?
Does you company have 49 or fewer employees as of December 31, 2018?
If you answered no to either of the above questions, you do not qualify for the
Business of the Year Award (1-49 employees).

No Jackson Chamber employee will be involved in any aspect of the judging.

The involvement listed should be limited to your company's paid employees.
