9th Grade Confirmation Registration

Confirmation is a 2 year process. The expectations for 9th grade students include:

Attendance or makeup work completed for all class sessions (9) Classes meet on Sundays from 10:45-noon unless noted below.

- Nov 6 SPIRIT & FILL with lunch class goes til 1pm
- Dec 4 NEW LIFE
- Jan 8 EVIL
- Retreat Feb 4-5 with class on WORSHIP
- Mar 5 HEALING
- Mar 19 SAVED
- Apr 23 TELLING OTHERS
Daily time with God thru devotional, Bible reading, journaling and prayer
Students connect with their mentor each month
Attend a MANDATORY confirmation retreat Feb 4-5, 2023 (10am Sat til Sun at noon). Start at PCC, overnight at Camp Ihduhapi.
Participate in Ignite ministries (Sunday Bible study, Wednesdays at 6:30pm, Events)
Complete 10 IGNITE notes(approx. 2 per month) at high school ministry either on Wednesday nights or Sunday night Bible study.
Complete a faith paper/project due April 23 and everyone will share confirmation weekend.
Sign up and meet with a pastor to to practice what they'll share, be encouraged/prayed for, etc.
Join us with their mentor and parents for our confirmation BBQ/baptism service on Saturday May 6th 4:30-8pm
Confirmation Services.... join us for either the 9am or 10:45 service Sunday May 7. Official confirmation service is Sunday May 7 from 2-3:30pm. (Dress nice for official confirmation service.)

I have read the confirmation expectations (above) and will encourage my child to complete what is asked of them. We will make class time a priority. I will support my child's mentoring relationship. I will help hold my child accountable for daily devotions and completing Ignite notes. If my child has a conflict we will communicate that with Annie in advance, when possible. I give my child permission to ride in vehicles with other parents to confirmation related events (church visits, etc.). My initials below indicate my acceptance of these expectations.

We partner with families to help identify great mentors for each student. All of our students should have a mentor and have met with them this past year. Please give us the name of their mentor again.
