Interpreting the AUDIT Score
According to World Health Organization (WHO), there are four 'zones' of alcohol risck which range from low risk use to dependence. Your risk level and the recommended intervention level is shown below
Risk Level: I
Intervention: Alcohol Education - Make an appointment with a chemical dependency counselor, or the Campus Counselor Cynthia Hutchinson (hutchinc@rocky.edu) to look at factors that might contribute to alcohol use.
Risk Level: II
Intervention: Simple Advice - Talk with people you trust about your alcohol use and if they think it ends up interfering with how you get things done. Make an effort to get some feedback from those around you. Make an appointment with the Campus Counselor Cynthia Hutchinson (hutchinc@rocky.edu).
Risk Level: III
Intervention: Simple Advice plus Brief Counseling and Continuded Montioring - Confidential counseling is available through RMC Counseling Services with Cynthia Hutchinson (hutchinc@rocky.ed).
Risk Level: IV
Intervention: Referral to Specialist for Diagnostic Evaluation and Treatment - Affordable evaluation is available in Billings. Your Campu Counselor Cynthia Hutchinson (hutchinc@rocky.edu) can coordinate assessment at minimal cost.
