American Military Veterans Foundation
To be eligible for membership in the American Military Veteran Foundation, you must have served in the United States Armed Forces, including the National Gurad and Reserve, anytime after September 1, 1939. Additionally, unless still serviving, your discharge must have been under honorable conditions.
If you are an American citizen that served in the Armed Forces of an Allied Nation, under hnorable conditions, between September 1, 1939 and December 28, 2014, you are also eligible, as a wartime member of the Merchant Marines if you served with the Military Sealift Command. Proof of eligibility can be taken in the form of a DD-214, and honorable dischargecertificate or other appropriate documents.
As a rule of thumb, annual dues are a minimum of $40, but this amount may vary from state to state or post to post. Life membership dues are a minimum of $200.00 as of 12/01/2016. These membership dues fund, in part, the programs, services, and representation American Military Veteran Foundation provides.
Your Membership starts on the date that your initial documentation has been verified and found eligible.
American Military Veterans Foundation membership will be renewed annually starting on January 1st, and will become deliquent thereafter. Annual members will be given a grace period until March 15th of each year, if they fail to pay due they acknowledge that they will be voluntarily removed from the membership roles. This does not pretain to Veteran Life members and Disabled Veteran Life Members that have paid in full.
Upon submission all applicant's authorize American Military Veterans Foundation to provide its National Officers, Board of Directors, Leaders, Staff, and Volunteers full access to their contact information to conduct the operations of the National Oganization, Programs, Services and Posts.
