  • Cricket Wireless Authorized Retailer - Job Description

  •   The Retail Sales Advocate is responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction per company standard, generating sales, housekeeping, merchandising, signage, pricing, cash register operations (POS) and loss prevention in adherence to all Company Policy / Store Standards.

  • Retail Sales Advocate Areas of Responsibility/Duties:

  • The Retail Sales Advocates responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

     

    ·       Opens and closes store according to company policy and guidelines.

    ·       Greets customer on sales floor and determines the make, type, and quality of merchandise desired and suggests a product to meet the customer's needs.

    ·       Promote sales of all Cricket Wireless products and features 

    ·       Places new merchandise on display. Displays merchandise according to planogram guidelines. Ensures merchandise is priced accurately.

    ·       Participates in promotional activity to attract potential customers, including but not limited to weekly Business to Business initiatives, FAN flyers, organizing and/or attending local community events, etc.

    ·       Maintains weekly / monthly sales quotas 

    ·     Educating all customers on the services, products & promotions we offer.

    ·       Process returns and trade-in credits.

    ·       Performs daily Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Program specifics.

    ·       Maintains an awareness of all product knowledge information.

    ·       Receives payment or obtains credit authorization.

    ·       Submit daily E.O.D & change box counts on our website

    ·       Daily store maintenance that may include the following; dust, vacuum, replace light bulbs, remove trash and place in dumpster, maintain clean restrooms etc.

    ·       Reports all variances regarding inventory & cash shortages immediately to management and/or the appropriate department.

    ·       Other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by immediate supervisor.

     

  • Retail Sales Advocate Qualifications:  

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Customer Service: Experience with service related position, preferred in the sales and retail industry. Listening skills, able to address all customers’ inquiries, and know when to ask a supervisor or other management to assist.

    Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak professionally and effectively to all customers.

    Math Ability: Basic Math Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as add and subtract for pricing, discounts, plan rates, coupons and deposit calculations.

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in verbal and written. Ability to deal with problems with customer basic complaints.

    Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer skills, processing software and basic applications of POS (Point of Sale).

    Hours of Work and Supervision: This position is based on a schedule set by management.

    Employees are responsible for accurately informing their manager in advance of their time off requests.

    Additional hours are available from time to time; employees may be called upon to work, as well as a reduction in hours may occur due to business traffic

    Every day our Retail Sales Advocates at Cricket sell great products and unlimited wireless service at fantastic prices to our customers and provide customer service in a fun energetic environment, Failure to comply with the requirements of this position could result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

    Our Sales Advocates:

    -  Sell no-contract wireless phones, service plans and accessories in a fast-paced environment

    -  Deliver outstanding service striving to retain and gain customers

    -  Participate in outside sales events or promotions

    -  Work flexible hours, weekends and holidays at various locations

    -  Perform daily opening and closing procedures, maintain store appearance, and help create a positive working environment

      

    GENERAL DUTIES

    GENERAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS WHICH ARE NORMALLY REQUIRED:

    -  Understand customers needs and help them discover how our no contract products meet those needs

    -  Multi-task in a fast-paced team environment

    -  Educate and engage customers through product demonstrations

    -  Interact with customers and provide prompt and courteous customer service to all customers. 

    The successful candidate will be able to perform the following with or without reasonable accommodation:

    Ability to stand for long periods of time

    -  Ability to complete all paperwork completely, accurately, in a timely manner

    -  Ability to operate a personal computer, wireless equipment, copier and fax

    -  Ability to work in other locations as the needs of the business dictate may be required.

    -  Complete all aspects of opening and closing the store in accordance with written procedures.

    -  Submit all transaction journals on a daily basis.
