The United States Tennis Association continues to succeed through awarding grants to organizations that promote and develop the growth of wheelchair tennis.
The amount of each wheelchair grant will be based on the organization’s budget, future programmatic needs, and its sustainability. The USTA supports programs that promote and develop the growth of wheelchair tennis and meet the USTA's grant initiatives, including (in priority order):
- Events (i.e. Run/Rolls, tournaments, camps, clinics)
- Equipment (including tennis wheelchairs)
*A USTA Organization membership is required for any organization or group applying for a USTA wheelchair grant. If you are not currently a member please visit www.usta.com/membership and click on Organizations to learn more or call 800-990-8782.
Please be aware of the following items before applying for the grant:
*Maximum grant allowance is $10,000
*Priority will be given to those programs that have not received a USTA National wheelchair tennis grant in the past two or more years.
*Grants will be awarded to organizations only, not to individuals.
*Accountability requirements: Financial statement of how money was used and report on the program’s successes/failures. You will receive an accountability document along with the grant letter if you receive funds.
