Our chapter has the opportunity to nominate two members for the AGS Kathleen D. Loly Academic Award and two members for the AGS Ed Walsh Service Award. These are AGS State Scholarships presented at the AGS State Convention. All Members nominated must attend the AGS State Convention online on April 19-21 in Sacramento. If you are interested in applying to be a nominee for one of these scholarships, complete this form and submit the required items by 12:00 PM (NOON) Feb 5, 2024.

You must submit TWO FILES – either .pdf or .doc or .docx format:

• an unofficial transcript that includes classes enrolled for Spring 2024 – you can save this from ClassWeb
• a summary list of services to AGS, LPC, and the community (please see AGS website for an example), for each semester you have been a member of AGS.  
  • You MAY count hours in other clubs or AGS for scholarships, even though you cannot count them for AGS points.
  • The summary list of services is NOT limited to one page or one tab. You should project (estimate) your activites through the end of March, 2024.

Please verify the requirements below to determine eligibility for the state scholarships. You CAN apply to be considered for both awards. However, you can only be selected as a nominee for one.

To be selected for a scholarship, ALL boxes for that scholarship must be checked and true.

You must submit an unofficial transcript that includes classes enrolled for Spring 2023.

This should be a PDF file printout that you obtained from ClassWeb.

NOTE: This must include classes enrolled in Spring 2023.

 

 

You must submit a service summary sheet detailing service to AGS, LPC and the Community for EACH semester you have been a member of AGS.

You MAY count hours in other clubs or AGS for scholarships, even though you cannot count them for AGS points.

An Excel file can be found on the Scholarship page of the AGS website that you can fill in and it will automatically total your hours. 

This file should be an .xls file or a Word document.
