The Chebucto Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to announce its 2025/2026 Concerto Competition! This year, we welcome applications from woodwind, brass, string, and vocalists!

New for 2025/2026:
To spotlight a wider range of solo repertoire, we are limiting this year’s competition to non-piano instruments and vocalists. Pianists are encouraged to prepare for their opportunity in the 2026/2027 season, when the competition will once again include piano repertoire.

Who Can Apply:
There are no age restrictions — Open to all eligible instrumentalists/musicians who reside in Nova Scotia or are currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary music program.

Deadline to Apply:
All application materials must be received by August 31st, 2025.

The Prize:
One exceptional winner will be selected to perform a full concerto (or a major work of comparable length) as a featured soloist with the Chebucto Symphony Orchestra during our 2025/2026 concert season.
