  • Language proficiency assessments help organizations ensure effective communication, improve global readiness, and make informed decisions about training and staffing.

The International Center for Language Studies' foreign language proficiency assessments are available to government agencies, employers, and all individuals with the need to have their language skills assessed. Assessments measure proficiency in Speaking, Listening, and/or Reading skills, conducted either in person or online via Zoom. All assessments are conducted by qualified testers, and results are based on the Interagency Language Roundtable Skill Level Descriptions.

For questions or additional information, please contact Patrick von Suskil, Testing Manager for the Foreign Language Division, at pvonsuskil@icls.edu or (202) 856-3215.
