Thank you for considering submitting your work to Thread!
thread is an intersectional feminist arts collective that features a collection of artists bimonthly. As a publication we wish to place priority on the artist as much as the art, hence the faces that you see when you first open our page. Each artist publishes up to 5 pieces in a collection. We do not currently have an issue theme but we do encourage work that possesses rich narrative, argument, as well as mastery of craft and structure. We also prioritize work that speaks to one's human experience, identity, or intersections of all of the above.

We would like you to provide us with an artist photo that best exemplifies how you wish to be seen as an artist and creator. We love to feature photos that accentuate our artists with color and vibrancy; so feel free to use creative selfies, headshots or anything you see fit.
We would also like an artist bio that is as short or long as you would like to make it. In the bio, please include some of your background as an artist, identities that are important to you and the ways in which your art intersects with your identities or your feminism. Feel free to also mention your conception of intersectional feminism and what it means to you; though you are not required to do so. Your bio will be featured on the site under your artist photo.
