The S.T.O.P. program is designed for Middle School
Students, and is facilitated by:
1)high school graduates of the S.T.O.P. program, and
2) adult advisors from sponsoring organizations.
S.T.O.P is an education program and leadership initiative that was established in Sudbury, MA in 1991, and was recognized by President Bill Clinton as a great example of community based activism. The STOP Shrewsbury was created in 2008
Through games, activities, and peer discussions
participants learn how to recognize and respond to stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination both individually and in groups.
7 weekly sessions held on Thursday nights

Sessions are from 6:00pm to 8:30pm, starting with a half hour weekly pizza dinner and social time to allow student participants to informally get to know each other.
