GUIDELINES FOR SCHOLARSHIPS
The applicant shall be a member in good standing and may have any level of textile expertise. Applications can be made at any time of the year. Scholarships are monies given to members to learn fibre related skills. The official application form (here) should be filled out and forwarded to the Chair of the Scholarship Committee via the submit button below. The successful applicant's name and the course being taken will be announced in the Newsletter and at the General Meeting. The committee expects that the grant recipient will share the workshop experience with the Guild in some manner, possibly by a “show and tell” presentation, a donation of a sample book or reference book to the Guild library, a slide show and lecture, an appropriate workshop or mentoring to other Guild members. The committee and applicant will jointly determine the type of service before the committee awards the grant (and is somewhat dependent on the grant amount). Financial need is not a consideration.
