We are looking for people who are willing to tell their story of how being on a public registry impacts their lives. Generally speaking, this does NOT include talking about your offense, your trial, or other experiences related to your conviction, although there may be limited times when including this information is appropriate.
No matter WHY you are on the registry, there are many rules, restrictions, issues, and problems associated with being on the registry. These are the stories we are looking for.
Please select the category for the story you wish to tell, and then tell us your story in 1500 words or less. The limit is important, because rarely do individuals get unlimited time in a public setting to share their story, so it's important to be able to tell your story as concisely as possible.
We are not looking for perfection or literary masterpieces. Just be genuine and tell your story in your own words.
