Thank you for considering being a summer missionary with Child Evangelism Fellowship! Christian Youth In Action (CYIA) is a 'home missions' experience giving you training you will use for your lifetime as well as the opportunity to take the Gospel to literally hundreds of children this summer.
Some important information to be aware of as you complete this application.
- CYIA requires your attendance for all the following dates: an April orientation (O1), a May 11th orientation (O2), the full training June 9th-20th, and teaching 5-Day Clubs/summer ministry a minimum of two weeks.
- The $650 CYIA fee covers all the training and materials needed for the summer. You will raise support to cover this fee and for your summer ministry following CEF's policy 'Ask God and Tell His people.' CEF staff will help you starting with sending out a letter at Orientation 1.
- Those interested and eligible to become employed must be 16 years or older, be teaching at a Bible-teacher level, and must commit to teaching a minimum of 3 weeks. Additional support raising will be needed to cover the additional costs. Check with your local CEF office for a estimated amount.
- Upon submission, an interview will be set with you and your parent(s)/guardian(s). At the interview, this application will be reviewed.
- The application MUST BE COMPLETED by April 15th. Contact your local CEF office and explain why your application was not submitted before the deadline and why you still desire to apply.
If you have questions along the way, contact your local CEF office.
