The Grace Kids Elementary Director is responsible for helping to lead our growing ministry for children (approximately 500 +) from 1st through 5th grade. This person provides a framework for communication and teamwork among division leaders, volunteers, parents and children. This person ensures continued development of a high quality, dynamic, fun, Christ-glorifying and Bible-centered Grace Kids environment. The position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate the heart of Grace Kids.

Responsibilities/Duties
- Enthusiastically committed to drawing children in the church and the community to Jesus Christ
- Partner with parents to help them develop their kids into outward focused followers of Jesus
- Ensure that communication to volunteers and parents is occurring and effective
- Oversee recruiting, training, evaluating, and recognizing of all those serving in elementary classrooms, worship and events
- Oversee staffing and implementation of Grace Kids Worship
- Maintain database records and paperwork on volunteers for Grace Kids elementary classrooms
- Shepherd kids and families through the kids Baptism process at the Overland Park Campus
- Attend staff wide meetings and training
- Help develop and implement a comprehensive vision and direction for a vibrant and growing Grace Kids classroom and worship environment
- Be available if required to assist in teaching in classrooms and kids worship room
- Manage Grace Kids projects as assigned, to successful completion
- Manage annual Ministry Plan and budget, and track classroom and kids worship budget for elementary ministry
- Assist multi-site campuses with the implementation of policies and procedures of the elementary ministry
- Manage policies and practices that ensure the safety of children in our care
- Help coordinate seamless transition of children from Grace Kids to Grace Students
- Oversight and volunteer empowerment of the opening program and classrooms of Summer Break Out
- Oversight of implementation of curriculum, crafts, and other supplies for the elementary ministry
- Provide vision, leadership, and implementation of Grace Group model in the elementary ministry
Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years ministry experience
- Effectively lead children; direct or indirect
- Great relational skills: full of faith, friendly, calm, and professional
- Outstanding communication, organizational and teambuilding skills
- Successfully managed projects to completion
