I acknowledge that I have been selected to be a Fellow in the LAW SCHOOL…Yes We Can (LSYWC) program, and that significant resources may be expended on my behalf.
As a Fellow, I acknowledge and commit to the following:
- I will be on time and attend all required workshops and events either in person or via live-streaming, all of the exposure programs, all professional development workshops, all skill-building workshops, and group activities provided for my benefit pursuant to LSYWC programming. I will also attend at least two networking events each year.
- I understand that all Fellows are required to submit an RSVP for each workshop/event by the communicated deadline. If I am unable to attend due to a family emergency, illness, or any other reason, I understand that I must contact the Program Manager within 24 hours to inform them of my inability to attend and the reason (with permission).

If I am attending college in Colorado, I will meet in person with my Mentors at least once a month, and I will stay in contact with my Mentors as often as needed, whether by telephone, text, or email. If I am attending college in another state, I will stay in contact with my Mentors via telephone, text, or email on a monthly basis, and commit to meeting with them when I return to Colorado during the summer or holiday breaks.
- I will submit my MONTHLY Fellow Report timely, and no later than the 5th of each month. I will respond within 24 hours to any communications received from my Mentors and anyone else related to LSYWC, including the Executive Director and the Program Manager.
- By April 30th of my first year in the LSYWC program, I will draft and submit a blog post of at least 300-500 words (not to exceed 500 words). I will provide a draft of my blog post to my Mentors for review before submitting the final post to the Program Manager.
- I understand that I am expected to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 for the duration that I am enrolled in school. I will track and update LSYWC on my current GPA monthly in my Monthly Fellow Report.
- LSAT Prep:
- I will submit my LSAT Prep Course Strategy to my Mentor Team and then to the LSYWC Program Manager. Further planning will be discussed with the LSYWC Executive Director and Program Manager.
- I agree that I will not study abroad during the LSAT prep course.
- I understand that I will not be eligible for the LSYWC LSAT Prep Course Scholarship if I do not complete all of the LSYWC program requirements, including attending all required workshops, Monthly Fellow Reports, blog posts, and meetings with my Mentor Team. The above must be submitted and approved by the Executive Director and Program Manager prior to acceptance of the scholarship.
- I commit to follow the study instructions provided by the LSAT instructor, attending all LSAT prep sessions and office hours, and returning all homework and practice exams in a timely manner.
- I understand and agree that LSYWC, its directors, officers, consultants, and employees are not liable for the actions or inactions of the Mentors who are assigned to me. I release and hold harmless the Program, its directors, officers, consultants, employees, and agents from and against any claims I may have based on the Mentors’ actions or inactions.
I understand that should I fail to meet the above expectations and commitments, the Board of Directors of LSYWC and the Executive Director may terminate me as Fellow in LAW SCHOOL…Yes We Can and/or may reduce or disqualify me for the LSAT Prep Course Scholarship.
