Summer is right around the corner and so is hands-on science fun! Your school, camp, or group visit to the Lab includes all theme-based exploration and materials for up to 20 students. After completing the form below, we will confirm your preferred available date and time or offer an alternate date if one is available.
All visits to the Lab include time to freely explore materials before diving into our topic.
All summer visits to the Lab are scheduled on Wednesdays.
Our topics of exploration for summer 2018 are:
Green Thumb Gardeners
We explore botany by planting seeds to care for at home, assisting with the care of the Lab's backyard garden (weather permitting), and conducting plant-based experiments. We also explore and learn about the garden invertebrates that help our garden grow.
Explore simple chemical reactions through hands-on experiments that incorporate known ingredients and observe an exciting demonstration. We explore how and why things fizz and bubble as we mix and pour.
We combine art and science to explore how colors are viewed and created. We combine colors together, then take them apart through chromatography. It's the colorful side of science in fun hands-on exploration.
