Written Prescription Policy
Written prescriptions are available on request, allowing you to obtain medication elsewhere.
Fees:
Medication prescription: £32 per drug
Flea & worming prescription: £20 per drug
Please note: medications dispensed directly by us include a prescription/professional fee.
Notice periods
5 working days’ notice required for prescriptions. 7 working days’ notice for controlled drugs. Urgent requests may be possible but may incur additional charges
Legal responsibilities
Your pet must be under our care for a prescription to be issued. Prescriptions are provided at the veterinary surgeon’s discretion. It is illegal to prescribe a human generic medication if a licensed veterinary product is available
To request a written prescription:
Order your medication directly from your chosen pharmacy first. Please make sure you order the exact medication and quantity as prescribed on our system. If you don't know the quantity and or the dosage please phone and confirm your prescription BEFORE ordering
Once your order has been placed, the pharmacy will provide you with an order number or reference number. Please input both the reference number and the pharmacioes email address into this form.
Once we have received the completed form, your written and signed prescription will be sent directly to your pharmacy.
