VIRTUS or Child Protection Program Certification: All adults who apply to MMA must have completed VIRTUS Best Practices Training. Please indicate, as close as possible, the month and year along with the diocese/archdiocese you participated in this training. Also, please upload a copy of your certification below.
* IMPORTANT *
Please label your file upload as follows: Last Name, First Initial, VIRTUS
Example: Smith, J. VIRTUS
Student Participants: Each Adult Track applicant must have at least one youth from their parish/school accepted into the Youth Track. Please note that a single student can be represented by more than one adult from the same parish. Also, student participants are not required to bring an adult with them to attend the program.
Adult Track Essay
A requirement for all Adult Track Applicants is the inclusion of essay responses. These will aid in determining your acceptance and will be of great value to Adult Track presenters as they prepare their workshop content. We want to serve the needs of Adult Track participants and the parishes they support. It is important that you answer all questions fully and develop your answers. If you have attended MMA in the past, it is time to reacquaint yourself with these questions, as each year we grow and encounter different experiences in our ministry work.
Housing Information/Special Needs/Dietary Requirements
There are limited air-conditioned rooms available (separate from the students) for Adult Track participants to stay in for the week. The cost for housing is an additional $300.00. You are welcome to commute, but note that the program schedule is not conductive to a long drive. Also note that your participation in this track is not to serve as chaperones for Youth Participants. There will be resident chaperones overseeing the students, and therefore, staying on campus is recommended but not required for the Adult Track.
