Bryan currently works as a Stakeholder Liaison out of the Edison, NJ office. He’s been at this position since about 2005.
Bryan started with the Internal Revenue Service around 1985 as a Taxpayer Service Representative in Newark. After about 3 years he became a Tax Auditor and stayed in that position for about 10 years. Around 2001, Bryan began working in a pilot group called the Non-Enforcement Compliance Group. This group focused on educating new business owners on their tax responsibilities. This group dissolved after about 2 years, when Taxpayer Education and Communication (TEC) was formed. In TEC, Bryan worked as a Tax Specialist for about 4 years.
Bryan graduated from the University of Alabama in 1984 with a degree in Business Administration.
Kate Hunyady

Kate Hunyady is a Senior Stakeholder Liaison in the Mid-Atlantic Area. Stakeholder Liaison serves as the primary IRS liaison to both tax practitioner and small business organizations throughout the country. Kate works with various tax practitioner and small business industry groups to educate, promote voluntary compliance, and resolve issues.
Kate began her career at the IRS in 2003 as a Revenue Agent in Norwalk, Connecticut. She transferred to Pittsburgh in 2005 and became a Stakeholder Liaison in 2014. In addition to trying to keep current with IRS policy and tax law changes, Kate makes presentations to small business and practitioner audiences on various topics including IRS policies and procedures, tax administration, and tax law issues.
Kate received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, majoring in Accounting. She is a singer with the band at her church and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and four children (two of whom are canine). They reside in Peters Township.
