Operation CatSnip of Kentucky, Inc. Pet Adoption Contract
Operation CatSnip of Ky, Inc. (OCKI) is a 501 c3 not for profit organization. We are a small foster based program. Our cats are from high kill shelters or owner surrenders. We are dedicated to finding them loving, forever homes. We must ensure that they receive a safe, healthy and loving home for the rest of their lives.
When the cat is brought into our program, they are checked by a licensed veterinarian, all shots are given, including rabies if age appropriate, feline leukemia tested, wormed, spayed/neutered, flea treated, and altered. We financially and physically take care of any health issues while the cat is under our foster care program. However, due to stressful situations under which many of our cats come from, there is always a chance that the cat is incubating a disease without exhibiting any outward clinical signs. This is why it is imperative that you schedule a veterinary visit within the first 10 days of adoption.
You must be able to provide for the pet both financially and physically. We require that if you are unable to care for the adopted pet in the future that you return to the pet to us and NOT giveaway, dump, or otherwise dispose of the pet to a shelter, another person (including family members), auction, or any other entity.
