Please read and understand the following National Training policy: The practical assessment for CPR (HLTAID001) and Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) requires a student to perform a minimum of 4 minutes of CPR on both adult and infant manikins on the floor. Childcare First Aid (HLTAID004) requires an additional 2 minutes of CPR on a Child. Please note that the practical assessments require a certain level of physical fitness. The National Training policy requires this assessment to simulate a potential real-life event and this means that the YMCA is unable to make adjustment to this. Students with injuries or conditions that would stop them being able to perform CPR on the floor in a real situation should consider whether this course is appropriate for them. Students must notify the trainer of any injuries or medical issues that may cause any issues during training.
Please read and understand the following YMCA policy: A refund will be provided where a student provides a minimum of 7 days notice. Where less than 7 days notice is provided, a student is eligible to transfer their enrolment to an alternative YMCA first aid course, but is not eligible for a refund. Administration fees may also apply for late enrolments. Please note that attendance at an alternative course must occur within three months of the date of the original course enrolment. Safeguarding Children & Young People : The YMCA has a range of policies and procedures to keep children and young people safe. Details of these policies are available at: www.brisbaneymca.org along with information on how you can report child safety concerns. By submitting this form, you acknowledge you have read and understood these policies.
