TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Grant recipients who have claimed funds in advance but do not attend the proposed event will be required to repay the grant in full.
Grants are not intended to cover the full costs of the proposed activity. Applicants who receive support from other sources that meets their costs in part or in full are required to inform the AAMD Education and Research Foundation of the amount(s) as soon as possible. It is expected that each grant recipient pre-pay all of their necessary meeting expenses except for the meeting registration. Each recipient will receive a code so they can register for the meeting. If you intend on participating in preconference workshops, please note that in your application as some of those events require additional funds.
If accepted for a grant, you will receive funds via check on-site at the annual meeting upon verification of attendance. If there is a documented financial burden regarding the purchase of a flight or hotel reservation grant recipients may submit a request in writing that part of their funds be distributed in advance to cover their travel expenses. The amount of the travel grant will be communicated to the recipient beforehand via e-mail. This amount will contribute to their overall expenses already made, but won’t necessarily cover them precisely or entirely.
All claims must be substantiated by receipts or copies of invoices or other documents as appropriate. Any claims made after the close of the annual meeting must be received no later than 6 weeks after the event.
