I-WEEK PHOTO CONTEST 2017
The Center for Global Engagement is happy to announce our 17th annual International Week Photo Contest. Since 2000, members of the JMU community have submitted photographs documenting their travels around the globe.
This Year's Theme: Global Engagement: Out of Many, One.
The deadline for submission of photos is Friday, September 8, 2017.
To submit an entry, you must take the following items into consideration:
--We welcome photos taken anywhere on the globe!
--No more than 3 photos may be submitted per contestant
--No panoramic-sized photos will be accepted
--All photos must be jpg files
--Photos can be black-and-white or color
--Photos must be a minimum of 2 megabytes and a maximum of 20 megabytes
--Photos must be high enough resolution to allow an 11” X 14” print at 300 dpi
--Using a smart phone camera from the front-facing side greatly reduces the file size and therefore the image quality – and resulting photos may not meet the print requirements.
Additional items to consider:
--How will your photo(s) be unique and artistically different from those of your peers?
--How will your photo(s) exemplify the theme of this year's International Week - "Global Engagement: Out of Many, One"
By submitting your photo(s) you are agreeing to the following:
--I am giving the Center for Global Engagement (CGE) permission to use/display my photos.
--I understand that if any of my photos do not conform to all of the contest rules it/they will be declared ineligible.
--I am granting the CGE the right to size or edit my photo(s) as needed for promotional purposes.
--I am giving the CGE the right to use my photos to advance the CGE mission.
