In order for students to be successful while studying abroad, it is imperative that GSA staff be aware of their needs. One factor that can have a significant impact on their overall success is their health and well-being. It is important that we be informed of any health conditions that may impact our students while they are far from home so as to ensure their needs are met.Understanding our students’ needs fully allows GSA staff, host families, schools, and medical personnel to arrange for proper support and care. All of us at GSA want our students to have the best possible experience while living abroad, and their mental and physical health plays a significant role in that.
Please note that disclosing information about students’ health conditions does not impact the decision-making process, nor does it determine the outcome of student admission to one of our partner-schools. Student medical information will be handled in a sensitive and confidential manner and will only be shared with the necessary parties.
Please note any medical conditions GSA staff needs to be aware of below, and include names of medications and dosages. If you would like to speak with a GSA staff member confidentially regarding the condition or medication, please contact us.
