Please note that the application should be completed all at once as there is no "save and return" option. Please save your application information in a separate document in the event that you lose some information while completing your form.
Remember, servers can sometimes be overwhelmed, which can slow down the submission process, or unfortunately, at times, some applications receive an error and you may have to start over. Please take that into consideration when applying. Getting your application in early will avoid this.
WHO MAY APPLY
1) The Whitney Houston Biennial welcomes cis gendered, trans, gender queer, and female-identified artists of all colors, abilities, and ages to join us in celebration of the Divine Feminine. We accept submissions in the fields of painting, printmaking, sculpture, drawing, mixed media, installation, and video may submit an application. Space for installations is limited so please get your applications in early. Film makers (documentary, experimental, feature, short) who wish to submit to the Whitney Houston Biennial Film Festival can access the application by visiting the film application page at www.whitneyhoustonbiennial.com
2) Collectives may submit a group project under the name of the collective, not the individual artists. Please select one collective member to act as the liason for contact. Each member of the collective will be required to sign artist releases/consignment agreement.
3) Special projects such as large installations, performance art or music must apply via regular application with previous works cited and then pitch the new concept via letter of inquiry to info@everywomanbiennial.com with the subject reading special project. If you do not fill out the regular application you will not be considered.

SELECTED APPLICATIONS
Submission of an application does not guarantee participation. We will review applications in March and notify selected participants by April 1, 2019. If we have any questions about your proposal, we will contact you at the email address you provide on your application.
Each selected participant will be allowed to show one work of art. We are not able to provide shipping assistance. We are a "green" event so we encourange artists to reuse packing materials. All works must be framed (gallery style) and ready to hang.
Art work will be for sale and we are working on the terms with the gallery. At this moment it will be 70% to artist, 30% to Every Woman Biennial. We are a fiscally sponsored non-profit 501c3 via Fractured Atlas.
All accepted artists will complete a consignment agreement as part of this application. All artworks included in the show must be included in and subject to the terms of the consignment agreement. Artworks that are not listed on the consignment agreement will not be permitted on the show premises. Further information and the consignment agreement will be sent along with notification of acceptance to the Biennial.
