PROCESS OVERVIEW: This is the first of multi-stepped course approval process. Courses are evaluated at the beginning and the middle of each month. Be sure to building in plenty of time.
Step 1.) Evaluation of BIO Transfer Credit : Biology faculty will evaluate for equivalency to UR BIO courses, or 200-level BIo Elective credit, or General Elective Credit which is not applicable to biology majors (see form below).
* BEFORE filling this form out be sure to obtain a copy of the syllabus of the course they want to take. Sometimes students need to contact the institution or instructor and request a copy of the syllabus when it is not available online. Courses cannot be evaluated with the syllabus. Syllabi must be in English.
* Once evaluated students will receive a course approval form (CAF) by e-mail
Step 2.) Advisor Approval: students who want to apply the transfer credit to their major will need to get the CAF approved by the advisor of their declared or intended major they wish to apply it to. Courses used for general college credit do not require advisor approval.
Step 3.) Submit CAF to College Center for Academic Advising (CCAS) located in Lattimore 312.
