Thank you for your interest in collecting valuable point-count bird data for our Important Bird Areas. Please note that IBA surveys require advanced or expert birders- but beginner birders can be paired with a more advanced surveyor.

We will assign survey routes based on proximity to your home address to the best of our ability. Please provide us with additional counties you are willing to survey in, in case we do not have any routes near you.

Each survey route is made up of approximately 10 5-minute point counts, and takes about 2 hours to complete in the morning. Routes must be replicated twice in a year, so time commitment per survey route is equivalent to two mornings of birding a year. Please indicate how many routes you are willing to take on:
