    • TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS

      (These Rules and Regulations apply to all entrants.)

      1. ENTRIES CLOSE NOVEMBER 30, 2025, ALL ENTRIES MUST SHOW TEAM NAME, FULL NAMES OF EACH BOWLER, AND USBC NUMBERS. ALSO DOUBLES-SINGLES ENTRY MUST
        BE COMPLETED IN FULL. NO ENTRIES AT TOURNAMENT SITES.
      2. Open to all TNBA, USBC members in the Central Region.
      3. Unattached bowlers may participate by purchasing USBC card for $35.00. Non-TNBA members may qualify for entry by paying $35.00 membership fee.
      4. The Total Entry Fee must accompany the entry form, and all certified checks and money
        orders made payable to: TNBA Central Regional Tournament. Do not remit cash. No entry money will be returned for any reason after the closing date.
      5. Preferred dates will be granted when possible. Entries will be scheduled on first come, first served basis.
      6. Prize fee will be returned 100%. There will be at least one (1) prize for every 10 entries. All events prize ratio one out of every twenty. Awards to all handicap champions. Bowlers may cash in both Handicap and Scratch prizes.
      7. Teams will be paired according to pin average. In the doubles and singles the lane will be assigned by the tournament committee.
      8. Bowlers must use their highest average based on a minimum of 21 games for the 2024-2025 season. If no average for 2024-2025, bowlers can use current 2025-2026 average with 21 games or more(with current verified league sheets). Bowlers with none of the above will bowl scratch. No 10-Pin Rule. No Summer Averages. Average Adjustments from other tournament, even if not accepted must be reported. Tournament Director reserves the right to go back three years, if it is believed that the participant is presenting an average lower than his or her true playing ability. It shall be the bowlers responsibility to verify the accuracy of his or her average in a Handicap or Classified Tournament, whether originally submitted by the bowler, his or her captain or others. Failure to use the proper average shall disqualify your scores, if submitted average is lower than the actual average there by resulting in a lower classification of more handicap. Prize winnings shall be based on the submitted average if it is higher than the actual average(Handicap Only). Any Protest or Correction pertaining to the Prize Fund results must be recieved in writing ten(10) days after the distribution of Tournament Unoffical Results. 
      9. Handicap will be 80% in each event from 220. Handicaps will be on an individual basis.  (a) bowlers will certify their scores as being correct at the completion of each game.
      10. (a) Any number of man-women combination may be used in the team event. Not more than three (3) players on the same team may re-enter; two (2) players must be dropped and two (2) new ones picked up.
      11. When a bowler competes more than once, his/her first appearance in each event shall count toward his/her all events score. Bowlers can enter into the Scratch and/or Handicap All Events.
      12. Multiple entry will be permitted in the team, doubles and singles events in accordance with USBC Rule 315.
      13. Bowlers may place only once with the same partners, but may place again with a change of partners. Bowlers may place only once in singles, the highest score to count.
      14. Entrants cannot enter doubles and not singles or enter singles and not doubles. You must enter both events. NO MIXED DOUBLES ON THIS ENTRY.
      15. ANY BOWLER MISREPRESENTING HIS OR HER AVERAGE TO GAIN MORE PINS SHALL FORFEIT ENTRY FEE AND All RiGHTS TO PRIZE MONEY. MAKE SURE YOUR HIGHEST
        AVERAGE ACCORDiNG TO RULES IS CORRECT BEFORE ENTERING.
      16. All winners will be checked for proper affidavits before awarding any prizes. Bowlers winning $600.00 or more in this tournament, must give the tournament office their social security number prior to prize payout. Failure to do so, will cause a delay in the distribution of tournament checks.  THIS RULE WILL BE ENFORCED. All bowlers must have a current TNBA membership prior to bowling. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
      17. It shall be bowler’s responsibility to verify the accuracy of his or her average in handicap or classified tournaments, whether originally submitted by the bowler, his or her captain or others.

        Failure to use the proper averages shall disqualify score if submitted average is lower than actual average thereby resulting in a lower classification or more handicap. Prize winnings shall be based on the submitted average if it is higher than the actual average.

        Any protest pertaining to the prize fund results must be received and postmarked within ten (10) days after the distribution of the tournament results.
      18. All bowlers must check the USBC Rule 319E “AVERAGE ADJUSTMENT.” These rules apply to all participants.
      19. Bowlers who have qualified for a prize of $600.00 or more in any event in a tournament within the previous 12 months must report actual score, position and amount won for possible re-rating. Rerating done prior to bowling. USBC Rule 319D will apply.
      20. In the event of a tie, when the name of the re-entered bowlers appear on both teams, the teams shall be declared co-champions. In the event of a tie, when the same name of the re-entered bowler appears on both doubles, the doubles teams shall be declared co-champions.
      21. Any replacement must be reported 30 minutes before starting time and cleared by the Tournament Director before bowling and the handicap may be altered accordingly.
      22. (a) When a team captain secures replacement, once the replacement has started to bowl, the replacement must finish the event being bowled.
        (b) The tournament committee reserves the right to accept or reject the substitute offered by the team captain.
        (c) Teams or individuals who fail to appear on the lanes prepared to bowl as scheduled shall forfeit their entry, subject to the discretion of the tournament committee.
        (d) Bowlers arriving late for shift will get no pins for frames missed. No make-up frames.
        (e) Bowlers will certify their scores as being correct at the completion of each game.
        (f) Provisional ball or frame will be used in situations where a foul or legality of pinfall cannot be immediately resolved.
        (g) Errors in scoring must be reported to the Tournament Director’s Office within 24 hours after games are rolled.
      23. No unreasonable delay in the progress of any game shall be allowed. Should any bowler or team participating in the tournament refuse to proceed with the game after being directed to do so by the proper authorities, such games or series shall be declared forfeited. Any bowler not ready to bowl when his or her turn comes shall be given a ZERO (0) for that frame.
      24. If a breakdown occurs for ten minutes, the tournament committee reserves the right to move bowlers to another pair of lanes to avoid shift delay.
      25. The tournament committee shall prepare the prize list after the entries are closed and the same shall be posted at the lanes where the tournament is being conducted.
      26. Our tournament committee reserves the right to disqualify any bowler not in compliance with the rules of this tournament.
      27. This tournament will be operated under the rules of TNBA, USBC.
      28. Pros can participate in this tournament. Only one(1) per team
      29. Sports averages are not allowed in this tournament.
      30. No 10 Pin Rule, Rule 319a WILL BE WAIVED in this tournament.
      31. No outside Jackpots can be taken at the tournament site. In doing so, you will be disqualified and forfeit all tournament prize winnings.
