SDB International Faculty Scholarship Application
This merit-based International Scholarship Program was established in 2015 for faculty members who are currently at institutions outside the United States and Canada, which are under-served in terms of support for participation in the SDB Annual Meeting. This International Scholarship replaces the Latin American-Caribbean scholars program that ran from 2000-2015. SDB membership is not a requirement, but all other things being equal, preference will be given to SDB members over non-members. Candidates must be an author of an abstract submitted for the meeting. Applicants may be the senior author of an abstract. Selection criteria are based on: (1) scientific soundness of the study as described in the abstract, (2) financial need, including availability of other support, e.g. from home institution. Each scholarship carries a cash value of $2,000 (USD), to be used to defray meeting expenses. Recipients will be notified by the end of May.
Completed International Faculty Scholarship applications must be received by April 17, 2017 (11:59 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time).
