2023 Scholarship Application
SCHOLARSHIP TYPES
The following scholarships are available:
- The Hildegard McLaughlin Academic Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who plan to attend either a two-year community college or a four-year college/university. This scholarship is available to females and males.
- The MPWC Vocational Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who plan to attend a vocational school, a trade school, or a technical school that is not a college/university. This scholarship is available to females and males.
- The Minnie L. Harding Scholarship is for female graduating seniors or current college students continuing their education in either vocational training, community college, a four-year college, or an advanced degree. Female students may apply for both the Hildegard McLaughlin and Minnie L. Harding scholarschips with one application.
For all scholarships, applicant’s history of school/community service will be the primary criteria for award but financial need and academic performance may also be considered when selecting the scholarship winners.
Completed applications must include a complete and signed application form, a 500-word essay describing your education or vocational goals, a signed official high school/college transcript sent by the applicant's school, and two letters of recommendation from counselors, employers or teachers. The recommendation letter must be sent by the person writing the letter.
ALL of the above required documents must be received before the application will be processed. Completed applications and all supporting documentation must be received by MARCH 10, 2023. Scholarship winners will be notified no later than APRIL 14, 2023.
