Region XII is offering a limited number of travel grants up to $500.00 for the NAFSA 2026 Annual Conference and Expo in Orlando, FL. This grant is open to NAFSA members and non-members. Preference will be given to NAFSA members.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to NAFSA members and non-members with a desire to attend the NAFSA Annual Conference.

Applications will be reviewed for individual’s financial need and professional development goals, as well as applicant’s commitment to giving back to Region XII.
AWARD
The grant will reimburse travel expenses (transportation, airfare, hotel, meals, etc.) for the NAFSA Annual Conference up to $500.
CONDITIONS OF AWARDS
1. Attend the full conference

2. Submit a Travel Grant Reimbursement Claim, post conference, including the original receipt for the conference registration, to the Region XII Treasurer at region12treasurer@gmail.com for recipient's reimbursement by June 12, 2025 (no exceptions).
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Please submit all documents in pdf format.

1. Statement of Objectives – this statement should highlight the nature of your work in international education and what you hope to achieve by participating in the national conference.

2. Letter of Recommendation – Provide a letter from your supervisor, program coordinator or student advisor which includes his/her support of your attendance at the annual conference as well as your contribution to international educational exchange at your institution/organization. The letter must also indicate the financial support that your institution or organization is providing for to cover the rest of the expenses related to attending the national conference.

3. Travel Grant Financial Worksheet – Provide an outline of your planned expenses and funds available to you.
