A Passover Message from Rabbi Jonathan Infeld
Please consider making a donation to the Jewish Family Service Agency for their Ma'ot Chittim campaign in order to insure that the entire Jewish community of the Lower Mainland will have food to eat this coming Passover. Click here to make payment to JFS or you can mail a cheque to JFS at 201 - 475 East Broadway, Vancouver BC V5T 1W9.
If possible, all Hametz - goods not acceptable during Passover, and materials containing such unacceptable food - should be destroyed or given away before the holiday begins. Should this be impossible or cause financial strain, the hametz may be stored in such a way that you are sure not to use it during the holiday and its actual ownership is transferred to a non-Jew until the holiday ends. In order to fulfill the Jewish precept of not owning any hametz during Passover, please fill out the form below no later than noon on March 30th, 2018.
I, the undersigned, fully empower and permit Rabbi Jonathan Infeld to act on my behalf to sell all hametz possessed by me, knowingly or unknowingly, as defined by Torah and rabbinic law, and to lease all places wherein hametz owned by me may be found. This transaction will be in effect for the duration of Passover, which this year begins at sundown of March 30th and runs through April 7th, 2018.
