CSA Scholarship Program Application Logo
  • Welcome to the Red Moon Farm C.S.A Scholarship Application!  We are glad to know you are interested in participating in our program to build your connection to local farms, and supply your family with nutritious fresh produce each week.

    What is the C.S.A.?

C.S.A. stands for Community Supported Agriculture- basically community  members (you and others) committed to supporting their local farm in exchange for a weekly share of the harvest.

Because of generous donors, this scholarship allows for a families in need to also be supported by the community in order to receive our produce for a season.

    What does the scholarship cover?

We offer as many scholarshipped shares each season as we can, based on funding received.

The scholarship covers about 70-75% of the total cost of a Regular Share throughout one CSA season. The scholarship recipient covers the rest.

What's Covered: The cost of the season's planting fee ($25), and weekly delivery fee ($1/wk), and 2/3 of the price of their weekly produce share for the length of the season.

What's Not Covered: The scholarship recpient supplies the other 1/3 of the cost of their share.

Regular shares are $30 per week when paying full price, or $10/ week when receiving the scholarship.

    • Our C.S.A. delivers to 5 pick-up locations in East Texas. Please refer to the map as you select the location best for you.

It is very important that our scholarship recipients be available to pick up their harvest share each week so they receive maximum benefit of the scholarship. Check your calendar to make sure you're available: Spring season begins in April and last until Mid June.  Summer season begins in mid June and lasts until mid August, and Fall season begins in October and last until late December.

Pick up occurs each week of the season on Thursdays, and the season lasts for 7-10 weeks. If none of our pick-up locations are located near enough for you to comit to each Thursday's pick-up, please do not proceed with the application.

Pick-up times also vary depending on location and are included below in the drop-down menu.  If you are not available to pick up on Thursdays during that particular pick up time, please do not proceed with the application.
