TERMS OF SERVICE

LIABILITY 

You are of the complete understanding that by clicking the SUBMIT button that you agree to all of PRO TYPE'S TERMS OF SERVICE. You are further stating that you have all rights to submit the manuscript, photos, etc. and will be fully responsible for any form of plagiarism. 

Pro Type will not be held responsible for any errors that were not recognized on your part after your book has been printed or published. We will provide you with an edited draft copy of your book. This draft copy is for you to discover any typographical or grammatical errors that we may have not recognized and to further bring to our attention whatever corrections are needed before publishing/printing your book. 

PUBLISHING

You have the option of having your book published in your name or in our company's name. If your book is published in your name, please note that you will be solely responsible for all promotions of your book. If your book is published under Pro Type's label, we undertake to advertise your book on Amazon, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Kindle, Pro Type's website, Google Playstore and Kobo books (Canada). Please specify whether your book will be published in your name or our company's name; this field must be answered. Advertising of your book will not exceed the period of one (1) year, as such is for the purpose of assisting you in getting the word out about your new publication. If within the period of eighteen (18) months we are in receipt of another publication, we will advertise both of your books or as many as we have under our label. 

Pro Type has the right to reject any manuscript that the company finds not suitable for its image. Any manuscript that contains profanity, obscene language, pornography in any form, satanic or demonic worship and slander will not be published by Pro Type.

EDITING

We undertake to edit your manuscript and correct all grammatical and typographical errors. We will provide you with an edited copy of your manuscript for your perusal, corrections, adjustments and/or approval. Please note that any information added or portion deleted, you must say so via email, providing the page(s) where the alteration was made. You also have the option of highlighting the portion to be deleted or the information added by using a different font color or using the bold option. We will not read your entire manuscript to discover what you have changed, and if such service have to be rendered you will be charged additional fees. 

Upon our second receipt (not including our initial receipt of your manuscript) of all corrections desired by you and thereafter complying with the same, a final edited copy of your manuscript will be provided for your approval. All further amendments, editing or corrections to your manuscript that are not as a result of an oversight on our (Pro Type) part would incur additional fees on your part. We strongly recommend that you thoroughly read your manuscript before final submission for printing/publishing. 

PRINTING

Whether or not you publish in your own name or under Pro Type's label, you will be charged a processing fee whenever you request copies of your book. This fee does not include taxes in accordance to the state or country and shipping fees. 

Processing fees will be assessed in accordance to your instructions, shipping preferences (express, UPS, FEDex, etc.) and method of payment whether direct deposit to bank account, Paypal, Money Gram, Western Union, etc. or payment received for shipment to different addresses or countries.

ISBN 

We provide ISBN for all of our authors. If you have your own ISBN we can use it if this is your preference. For persons who do not want to be under our company but wish for us to provide an ISBN we charge a fee of Fifty Dollars ($50.00). Please note that once an ISBN has been assigned to your book it cannot be changed.

PROCESSING TIME

The length of time required to provide you with the first edited copy of your book is dependent upon the amount of typographical and grammatical errors and also the amount of pages submitted. Notwithstanding a book may have approximately seventy (70) pages, it could take longer than a book that has one hundred and fifty (150) pages resulting from the amount of corrections to be made. 

Once your book has been thoroughly read you will be provided with an estimated time for you to receive your first edited copy. Your publishing date is dependent upon the amount of alterations made after you receive the first edited copy of your book. Pro Type's estimated time for completion is not binding as the approval must be made by the author and payment in full must be made before your book is printed/published. 

ROYALTY PAYMENTS

Pro Type will provide you with a monthly report for each sale of your book whether physically or digitally. You will receive payment of your royalties earned once your account has attained the sum of Seventy-five Dollars ($75.00). You will be paid a royalty of Thirty-five percent (35%) for all books purchased by Pro Type and sold physically. Payment for all other websites (Amazon, Kobo books, Kindle, Google Play Store etc.) will be made in accordance to their terms of sale.

REFUND

Pro Type will not refund your full deposit resulting from our work having commenced by means of providing to you publishing consultation services prior to our receipt of your manuscript. We will assess the measure of work already provided to you prior to your request for a refund.  A portion of your deposit along with a statement/letter will be sent to you on the premises of your deposit not being fully exhausted by our services already rendered. 

In relation to you having received damaged books, Pro Type will not be held liable for the mishandling of your books while in the care of a courier or shipping company. Once we have been provided with proof of your books being damaged during the course of shipping by pictures sent via email, we will forward same to the courier or shipping company and file a claim on your behalf. If your books were damaged by the printing company, we would require at least two copies to be forwarded to us, one to be retained as proof and the other to be forwarded to the company for reprinting; should same be covered by the printing company's contract. 

Once in receipt of whatever is provided to us on your behalf as compensation for your loss or damages suffered, we will forward same to you. There will be no further claims against Pro Type for damages/loss suffered to your shipment if the shipping, courier or printing company does not fully compensate the monetary value of your loss or damages suffered. 

PAYMENT

A payment of Three Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($350.00) representing your deposit must be submitted along with this form for your manuscript to be reviewed. If you submit your manuscript and fail to make your deposit payment within Ten (10) days after our receipt of the same, please note that all of your information will be deleted. You must thereafter resubmit your manuscript along with the required payment for Pro Type to commence your work. Pro Type will not be held responsible for any information lost due to your non-payment. You will be provided the estimated cost of printing/publishing after your manuscript has been reviewed. Pro Type is unable to give you the total cost as provisions must be made available for you to make alterations to your mansucript, book cover or services retained.
