Hog Haven Farm Volunteer Registration
  • Hog Haven Farm Volunteer Days

Volunteering begins at 10:00am and usually concludes by 1:00pm, with a break in between. Shifts are limited to 15 people, and volunteers are accepted in order of application. We will send an email confirmation within 48 hours of your registration, and a reminder email a few days prior to the actual volunteer day with remarks about arrival time and parking. You must complete our volunteer waiver (page 2) to volunteer at Hog Haven Farm.
  • Summary of Duties:

Hog Haven Farm volunteering typically includes general clean up (specifically mucking pig pens, barns & shelters), fence maintenance, replacing bedding, trash/branch/scrap removal, painting, and other projects as necessary, plus socializing with the pigs as you work. We ask volunteers to bring their own vegan-friendly snacks and bottled water, sunscreen, and to wear sturdy shoes and clothing that can get dirty. To volunteer, you must be 18yrs of age and able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. We do allow children 12yrs + to accompany a parent(s) on volunteer days, so long as the parent(s) sign a waiver and are responsible for the child throughout the duration of the work day. There will be ample time to snuggle and hang out with the pigs, too!
