Deadline for submissions is December 1st.

Please attach a 3- to 5-page justification for this request which takes into account CAP's Criteria for Staffing Requests. The request should include:
1. A short statement of the vision for your curriculum over the next 5 to 10 years
2. A clear explanation of the curricular needs that the position will address
3. Information on how this request addresses issues raised in your most recent decennial or midterm review
4. A departmental mentoring plan (for more information, visit the "Faculty Mentoring" section of the Faculty Development page of the Office of the Provost and Dean of the Faculty website)
5. Please describe anticipated resources required for this position (e.g. starter grant, space renovation, equipment).

After submission, two representatives of the Committee on Academic Priorities will contact you to schedule a meeting to discuss your request more fully.

If you have any questions, please contact the Faculty Recruitment and Appointment Specialist in the Office of the Provost and Dean of the Faculty.

Note: The Committee on Academic Priorities receives more proposals for tenure track positions each year than it can recommend for approval. The Committee and the Deans review all tenure track requests very carefully.

Non-Tenure Track Search Justification
The Associate Provost meets with Chairs and Directors during the fall semester in order to review and approve staffing needs for the following academic year.

Should it be determined that a replacement is needed to fill a temporary, full-time vacancy, a national search is required. In such cases, please complete the non-tenure track search justification below.
