Working Group Funding provides yearly-long funding for a group that has consistent programming.
Working Groups are semi-autonomous groups of students and community members who work together on an issue, or towards a common goal. Working Groups may focus on research, events, actions, publications, and other diverse activities. They tend to have long-term goals with activities and membership that continue beyond the current academic year, hold regular meetings, and must maintain a membership that includes University of Regina students. Working Groups receive $1,500 per year. Working Groups may also use other non-financial RPIRG resources, and are eligible to apply for additional funding through the Project, Event, and Training Fund.
After being approved, a Working Group will receive:
- Support and funding of $1500 per year
- Space on the RPIRG webpage
- Access to office resources, such as occasional photocopying and the button maker or some bookkeeping assistance
- Networking access
- The opportunity to apply for Event/Project funding
