In order to be considered to foster you must:

Be 21 years old
Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in your household
Have a valid ID with current address
Have landlord’s name and telephone number (or lease)
Understand that Wood Violet has to approve your application

We want volunteer fosters who are dedicated to education and animal welfare. We will need you to be a voice for your foster pet and provide a loving and safe place. Remember some of these animals have never known love. YOU are their lifesaver. We will call your landlord if permitted to make sure all our animals are going to places they are accepted. The last thing we want is to have to keep moving the animals back and forth to different places.

After we receive your volunteer foster application, we will schedule a home or virtual visit and get to know you and what you like to do while seeing the environment where your foster will be living. We want to match you with the best possible pet to make an easy transition for everyone. You will be put in our network and we will reach out to you when we find you a match.
