  • Application Instructions:

    This application will allow you to save and return to it at a later time.  Please be sure to select the save button if needed, and you will see a pop-up indicating you have been sent an email link to finish at a later time. 

    We recommend reviewing the whole application before starting to fill it out. It is often helpful to type your answers in a word document and copy them over when you are ready to complete the application in its entirety. You will need the name and contact information for three(3) references and will also be required to upload the following:

    • Resume
    • Letter of Recommendation
    • Proof of degree completion (or unofficial transcript if not yet done)
    • Proof of Associate status or application, if applicable 

    After you submit, a member of our team will reach out to you to schedule an interview within two to three weeks. 

    Associateships typically start late summer/early fall or first week of January each year.  We do sometimes accept associates on a rolling basis depending on availability.

  • JFK University has adapted definitions of language fluency based on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Scale, which is used by the federal government. The ILR Scale is designed to help guide applicants as they assess their language proficiency. Applicants should check the appropriate box, based on their self-assessment of language proficiency.

    You must submit your resume in order for your application to be complete.  

    Our JFK University Counseling Centers accommodate working interns by having extended evening hours and Saturdays available to you at each one of the Centers. However, you will still need to make arrangements with your employer/family to be available to participate in required clinical supervision, didactic training, community meetings, workshops and other center responsibilities in addition to working with your Center/Community-based clients. The hours expected of you per week, while in practicum, are 20-25 hours. Please plan accordingly.

    • Proof of Department of Justice (DOJ) Clearance (Live Scan Fingerprinting)
    • Proof of Tuberculosis (TB) Testing Clearance
    • Proof of Malpractice Insurance
