  • I hereby grant permission to Data Medics LLC to perform any action they deem necessary to diagnose my media. I understand this may include but is not limited to opening exterior enclosures, opening the hard drive, soldering, replacing components, etc. I understand that this can result in loss of part, loss of warranty, or all of the data stored thereon. Furthermore, I also release Data Medics LLC from any liability relating to theft, damage or destruction to the media and any other hardware sent to Data Medics LLC in connection with this waiver. I agree that sole liability of Data Medics LLC for the foregoing shall be the fair market value of such hardware as reasonably determined by Data Medics LLC. I hereby agree that all claims for liability and/or loss including without limitation any direct/indirect, incidental, consequential damages or loss profits which may occur as a result of any Data Medics LLC action or inaction is hereby expressly waived. I further understand that my data is considered “lost” upon delivery to Data Medics LLC and recovery may not be possible. Any and all hardware left unclaimed at Data Medics longer than 90 days will be deemed abandoned and maybe disposed of, recycled or sold at Data Medics sole discretion. All services are performed “as is” without warranty of any kind.

    I agree to accept the responsibility for shipping or delivering the system or media to Data Medics LLC. Data Medics LLC will not be responsible for damages incurred during the shipping/delivery process and any loss or claim against such agents shall be solely on the behalf of the undersigned. I agree to all the forgoing conditions.

  • Please Note: If providing your own destination media, please be sure it's completely blank or formatted.  We will not merge recovered data into existing data on the media and we may even need to format the disk ourselves.

    Also, please double check that it is large enough to store all of the data.  Generally, it should be the same size or larger capacity than the original media.  

    If it has a USB interface it must be USB 3.0 or higher.  USB 2.0 devices are too slow and can cause extreme delays.

  • Explanation of Service Tiers: All projects are handled using the same equipment, technicians, and methods.  

    No rush projects are handled in the order they arrive and are approved for recovery.  We cannot provide an ETA on these projects as emergency cases and standard cases take priority. 

    Standard projects are worked on during our normal working hours. However, these projects are prioritized over no rush projects.

    Emergency projects are given priority above all other projects.  However, Emergency level projects are also worked on after hours during overtime.  Emergency rates are quoted based on the anticipated number of overtime hours required.

  • Minimum Cost of Recovery

    The minimum cost of recovery for hard drives is $425. The minimum cost for other media such as flash memory, thumb drives, and optical media is $225. RAID arrays are a minimum of $750.
    • If not, we request that you not submit your case at this time.  Spending time evaluating cases that never get approved only serves to run up the costs for our paying customers.  Saving our time saves everyone money.
