Currently, under UNM policy, if a student discloses any act of sexual misconduct to a faculty member, the faculty member must report it to the Office of Equal Opportunity.

Surveys tell us that LGBTQ persons experience more acts of sexual misconduct than non-LGBTQ persons, yet anedotally, the University does not get as many reports from them as we might expect.
