The NEA is proud to offer its State and Local Affiliates the opportunity to apply for GPS Fund Grants. All questions and information on the grant application align with the Fund guidelines (linked here) set forth by the NEA Board of Directors in order to advance NEA's strategic goals.
Deadline: The deadline for this round of applications is December 1, 2017 (up until 11:59 p.m. local time). Late applications will not be accepted, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
What is the purpose of the grant program?
To further efforts to grow and improve the education profession, professional practice, professional learning, and student success.
Who may apply?
State Affiliates, Local Affiliates, or partnerships between State and Local Affiliates may apply. This is an affiliate-specific grant (not meant for individuals, but rather system building for the affiliate).
Amount of funding?
The minimum request that will be considered is $25,000. The maximum amount that may be requested is $250,000/year for up to 3 years (so a maximum of $750,000).
Who must sign off on the application?
An officer or executive staff member needs to acknowledge the application is in alignment with the affiliate's goals and is an affiliate priority, since affiliates are the recipients.
Attachments: When prompted, attachments may be added to your application in support, but the body of your application must be submitted in the application form itself, not as an attachment.
