Are you a UCLA student or recent alumni looking for developers to join your idea or startup – a technical co-founder, lead developer, freelance developer, intern, etc.?
On Wednesday, May 24, from 6-8pm in Covel Commons 203, Startup UCLA and student orgs UPE, ACM, Sigma Eta Pi, and Bruin Entrepreneurs are bringing student and recent alumni-founded startups and student developers together for a pitch and mixer. In the first hour, students and recent alumni with a startup (or idea for a startup) will each give a 60 second pitch to the audience of student developers. In the second hour, a mixer, the student devs can approach the startups to learn more and, if they’re interested, to discuss working with them. Refreshments will be served.
Startups that are selected will have 60 seconds to pitch. Explain your idea quickly and efficiently and be sure to specify what you are looking for: number of developers, programming language, the role of the developer (co-founder, lead dev, intern, etc.), kind of compensation (equity, cash, equity/cash split). We will display a single slide with your idea/startup name, tagline, and email address (and website, if applicable), copied from the answers you leave below.
Who is eligible to pitch?
• Current, full-time UCLA students (undergrad and graduate) and recent UCLA alumni (graduated within the last 5 years) with a startup (or idea for a startup) whom are in need of developers and have not raised more than $50,000 in funding.
Deadline to register is Friday, May 19th 2017.
You will receive further information about the event after the registration deadline.
