Beliefs: At Smiley's Ice Cream we take pride in our motto. All of our ice cream is made daily in our shop.  We use the freshest ingredients possible and don't take short-cuts when it comes to producing our products. Thus, our "made rite" is at the heart of what we do. If it's not right, then we'll make it right for the consumer. We go out of our way to give the customer what they want and make them happy.

Our Story: I started Smiley's Ice Cream in 2001 at the Harrisonburg Farmer's Market. I was just a college guy who wanted to find a way to earn some summer income. The ice cream was originally made in White Mountain Ice Cream Freezers, the old-fashioned way, as many people would say. However, my business grew to the point where I needed a new and larger trailer and I had to switch to using a commercial batch freezer to make the high volumes of ice cream. All the while, I've taken pride in using the best quality milk, cream, and ingredients to produce our many flavors of ice cream. This is the reason we opened our first brick-and-mortar location on the farm of Mt. Crawford Creamery in June of 2017. The creamery makes our ice cream base using their milk and cream. In October of 2021, we opened our new shop in Bridgewater as we had outgrown our shop on the farm at Mt. Crawford Creamery.

Work environment: At Smiley's Ice Cream we take pride in giving our customers a great product and seeing them happy with making the purchase. We want our work environment to be fun for the employee, but professional and efficient for the consumer. We pride ourselves on being a clean environment and put customer service at the forefront of our business.
