REQUIREMENTS OF TITLE HOLDER
Mini Miss Carbon County contestants are 4 to 6 years old. They must turn 4 years old on or before the pageant date or must still be 6 on the pageant date.
Little Miss Carbon County contestants are ages 7 to 9 years old. They must turn 7 years old on or before the pageant date, or must still be 9 on the pageant date.
Junior Miss Carbon County contestants are ages 10 to 12 years old. They must turn 10 years old on or before the pageant date or must still be 12 on the pageant date. (If they are 13 by or on the pageant date they will need to compete in the Miss Teen Carbon County Pageant).
She must be a resident of Carbon County and a citizen of the United States. She must not be involved in dishonest or inappropriate behavior. She should be a good example to others around her, be of good moral character, and health. She needs to be available to perform at Miss Carbon County & Miss Teen Carbon County Pageants August 15th, 2026.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF TITLE HOLDER
Miss Carbon County Organization Contestants or Royalty Members cannot hold any other pageant title in any other pageant system. If a contestant is currently holding a title with another system she will reliquish that title before signing up as a Miss Carbon County Organization contestant. Once a contestant has signed up for the Miss Carbon County Organization she cannot compete in any other pageant system until she is no longer a contestant. Also, if crowned as Mini, Little or Junior Miss Carbon County she cannot compete in any other pageant system throughout her reign. If this is brought to the attention of the Miss Carbon County Commitee that this rule is not being followed, the contestant will be disqualified (or be asked to step down as a titleholder) and will not be allowed to compete in the Miss Carbon County Organization Pageants the following year.
Contestants and the newly crowned Mini, Little & Junior Miss Carbon County's need to be fully committed to the Miss Carbon County Organization. We are looking for young girls (and parents) who are wanting to see the Miss Carbon County Organization succeed, as well as be a face of the organization. Competeing needs to be taken seriously. Make sure before signing up that you understand all the rules, obligations and responsibilities if your daughter is to win a title.
Attend community events, performances, and parades and assist in maintaining and decorating the Royalty Float.
o Parades (St. Patrick’s Day, Pleasant Valley Days, East Carbon Days, Wellington Days, International Days, and Helper Light Parade)
o Events (Memorial Day Ceremonies, County Fair, Kiwanis Events, other events planned by reigning Miss Carbon County or the Miss Carbon County Organization)
o Performances (Wellington Days, International Days, Pageants)
No tolerance for negative or unkind comments about the organization, directors, and any of its members. We are building a reputation and want to show people that pageants are not all like toddlers in tiaras. (Title holders and parents included)
Be kind and friendly to everyone she meets.
Wear Sash and Crown to appearances. Be appropriately dressed, clean, and put together. Any appearance is to be approved through the Pageant Director.
Once a contestant has won the title of Mini, Little or Junior Miss Carbon County, she is ineligible to compete in that particular age group again.
Mini Miss & Little Miss Title holders are the little sister to the older title holders in the “Pageant Family”.
Junior Miss title holders are the little sister to the older title holders and big sister to the Little & Mini Miss in the “Pageant Family”.
o Junior Miss will be in charge of a Community Service Project of her choice that lasts one day and see it through. Involve the other members of the organization. (This is modeled after the Miss Carbon County title holders service platform).
o Be prepared to speak about service project during the Interview & On Stage Interview (Examples; Volunteer at animal shelter, read to children at the public library, sing to the elderly at a nursing home)
Parents, legal guardian, and family
o Her legal guardians become members of the Miss Carbon County Organization Committee during her year as a title holder.
o Exercise self-sufficiency; share ideas or events that the girls should be attending. Be willing to step in and help the organization and girls have a successful and enjoyable year.
o Be creative and flexible; work with other title holders to match outfits and provide a positive environment for everyone.
