ADOPTION APPLICATION

The first step in the process of fostering is completing the foster application. The application provides important information to help find a foster pet well-suited to your lifestyle. A home check is also required, and will be arranged once the application is reviewed. Please provide detailed information for all questions to keep the foster process running as smoothly as possible :)
To qualify to be a foster, you must:
•Be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license or state Identification Card stating your current address.
•Have the knowledge and consent of a landlord, if relevant.
•Be able and willing to spend the time training, working with and giving the pet time, affection, and allowing the pet to be a part of the family.

I understand that while BLBBR is the owner of my foster, I also understand that I am responsible for the foster. This includes providing food, treats toys, etc. Vet care will strictly be provided by BLBBR's contracted veterinarian. In the case of an emergency or when the foster needs medical care, BLBBR is to be contacted immediately to arrange an appointment with our veterinarian. My failure to alert BLBBR of any concerns may result in my own liability.

I understand, as a foster, there is no way to know when the foster will get adopted. I am committed to fostering the animal as long as it takes for an adopter to be approved through BLBBR's adoption process.

I understand that if I can no longer foster, I need to let BLBBR know ASAP in order for a new foster home to be arranged.

I also understand and agree that I must undergo a home-check to be done by BLBBR designee prior to fostering for BLBBR.
