Lifepoint Church’s Care Team provides spiritual encouragement and support, through one-on-one care and small group settings, to those seeking to be renewed, equipped, and strengthened in their relationship with God. Our Care Team uses Biblical principles to encourage and support people that are dealing with spiritual issues by providing them with short-term care consisting of one to three connections and culminating with the care participant receiving long-term spiritual support through participation in the small groups of Lifepoint Church. Lifepoint Church does not provide psychiatric, medical, or mental health treatment and our Care Team utilizes non-ordained and unlicensed volunteers.
Lifepoint Church reserves the right to take any relevant matters (at the discretion of the Care Team member) to the spiritual covering of Lifepoint Church staff and/or leadership. Lifepoint also reserves the right to terminate any care relationship where it is determined that a person’s needs or objectives are inconsistent with the objectives and capabilities of our Care Team.
Care Team members will undertake to protect information shared in confidence. In situations, however, that indicate a potential danger or threat to persons, appropriate steps will be taken, which may include the disclosure of information to appropriate third parties and to law enforcement authorities.
