  • The 2017 NSHE Southern Nevada Diversity Summit committee invites members of the NSHE institutions and other higher education partners to submit proposals to present on
    Friday, October 6, 2017.

    For 2017, the theme is Diversity and Inclusion: Engines of Change. The Power of Community and Individual Action. Proposals complementing the summit theme and focusing on the following are encouraged:

    • Inclusive Pedagogy – Theory and practice in teaching.

    • Diversity in Action – Defining success in diversity/inclusion initiatives and programming in higher education.

    • Student Engagement – The power of student activism in education and social issues.

    • Creating Communities of Positive Change – Internal and external partnership models impacting student success.

    Other diversity and inclusion topics are welcomed.

    All proposals should be submitted by
    Friday, August 4, 5 p.m.

    Notifications on those proposal selected
    will be given on, or before,
    Monday, August 14.
