Please complete and submit this short form to register for the date of your choice. We cap visits at 10 in order to be respectful of teachers and students, and to make sure that there is plenty of time to have your questions answered. We also ask that each member of your group register individually when they are certain that they will be able to attend. If you have to cancel your visit, we ask that you do so at least 7-10 days ahead of time so that we can give another person or group enough notice to fill in.
Visits will begin at 9:30 with an overview of the school, a description of our programming and mission, and a tour, followed by a conversation with a lead teacher and/or the head of school about competency-based education and student-centered learning. You will have time to visit classes and see our practice in action, and the visit will end with an informal lunch with students so you can ask them questions about their experience prior to BDEA, whether CBE is working for them, and why. The visit ends at 12:30, unless there are other staff you would like to speak with. If you know ahead of time that there are specific departments or staff that you would like to meet, please send an email directly to Rita Gehrenbeck-Shim, at email@example.com and we will do our best to accommodate you. If you have a group of 10 or more, please contact Rita via email to talk about alternative dates for a visit.
Directions to the school are here and there is a parking lot attached to the school.
Thank you so much for your interest in BDEA. We look forward to seeing you soon.
-- Rita Gehrenbeck-Shim, Advancement Associate
